Invited talk on “India’s Semiconductor Leap: Opportunities, Ecosystem, and Careers for the Next Generation”

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with the ISTE Student Chapter and Placement Cell, organized an invited talk on 12th April 2025 for pre-final year ECE students. Dr. Ashwath Rao, Senior Analyst at Counterpoint Research, Mangaluru, delivered an engaging session covering VLSI design tools, the fabrication process, and emerging technologies like FinFET and GFET. He emphasized the importance of industry awareness and peer learning, while also sharing insights into India’s growing semiconductor ecosystem, including Micron Technology’s upcoming facility in Gujarat.
