Civil Engineering Department of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi in association with ISTE student chapter has organized two days Value added course () from 16th July 2021to 17th July 2021 for Students, staff & faculty members of Govt. polytechnic Karwar.
Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, inaugurated the program and addressed the participants on value added course and appealed the participants to diversify their skills in advancement. Mr. Sunil Haldankar, Assistant Professor (Sr.), Civil Engineering welcomed the gathering.
The inaugural function was followed by a Chief guest address on “Latest happenings in Engineering” by Dr. H Shivakumar, VTU Special officer, Mangalore region. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. H Shivakumar, appreciated the efforts of the institute for having organized this type conference which is very much relevant in the fast-growing science and technology. He gave insights on values added course which broadens the knowledge of students and gives opportunities in these areas to develop newer technologies.
On Day-2 Er. Anirudh Rao Managing director, Projectile consultants Pvt. Ltd Mangaluru. delivered a Key note session. On “Digital construction technology” in which he elucidated New age construction advancement, Robotics and AI in construction and its application and innovative ideas were discussed during his presentation. There are so many opportunities in these areas to develop newer technologies. He also stressed the importance of taking forward the student projects and academic research works into innovations.
The resource person of two day Value added program are Dr. Sandeep J. Nayak, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Sachin Bhat, Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mr. Madhusoodhana Rao, Senior Assistant Professor, Civil Department, Ms. Deepika B V, Senior Assistant Professor, Civil Department, Mr. Roshan Kotian, Assistant Professor, Civil Department and Mr. Abhijit and team final year students of Civil Engineering.
Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, Dr. Ganesh Aithal, Vice Principal, Dr. Sudharshan Rao, Dean IQAC, Dr. Sandeep J Nayak, HoD were present on the occasion. Mr. Sunil Haldankar Coordinated the program, Students of Civil Engineering department compeered the program. More than 100 Students, staff & faculty members participated in this event.
