One day Python Programming workshop at SMVITM, Bantakal

The Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), in collaboration with the Forum of PU College Computer Science Lecturers of Udupi District, organized a one-day workshop on Python Programming. Held at SMVITM, Bantakal, on June 5, 2024, this workshop was designed to benefit the faculties of Pre-University colleges in the Udupi district.

Inaugurating the program, Shri. Maruthi, Deputy Director of the PU Board in Udupi district, congratulated the participants for their involvement in the workshop. He emphasized the importance of enhancing their knowledge of the subject to better teach their students.

 

Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, the Principal of SMVITM, presided over the function. In his remarks, he informed the gathering that SMVITM has consistently supported the PU Board in conducting such workshops in the past and is prepared to continue offering assistance in the future. He also emphasized to the participants that the country is growing rapidly, and technology is evolving at a fast pace. He highlighted the importance of continually updating their knowledge and effectively transferring this knowledge to their students.

The chief guest of the program, Ms. Kamalakshi Prakash, Vice Principal of Anandthirtha PU College, Udupi, expressed her gratitude to all the participants for their interest in the workshop. She also thanked the management of SMVITM for providing the facilities and resource persons necessary to conduct the workshop.

Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SMVITM, coordinated the program. Dr. Ranjan Kumar, Dr. Ganesh Prasad, and Ms. Yashaswini A S, the faculty members of SMVITM, acted as resource persons.

Mr. Rama Naik, the president of the forum of PU College Computer Science lecturers of Udupi District welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thank at the end of the program.
