Admission to the First Year B.E. programs at SMVITM can be obtained in any of the following modes.

CET (KEA) CODE: E206

Admission through CET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA)

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) every year for the aspirants of Professional courses. The students seeking the seats through Government quota shall appear for this “Common Entrance Test” conducted by the KEA. More details on CET may be obtained by going through the UGCET page of KEA website www.kea.kar.nic.in

Admission through COMED-K

The candidate seeking admission to any of the undergraduate courses shall appear for the Entrance Test conducted by the COMED-K authorities. The seat selection process is based on the seat allotment procedures of COMED-K. The candidate wish to get admitted under COMED-K are informed to refer the website www.comedk.org

Admission through Management Quota

Students seeking the admission to Engineering programs through Management Quota may directly approach the college office. Such students should write an “Entrance Test” conducted by the college. Based on the merit list of the entrance tests students are admitted to the college through Management Quota.

Eligibility

Should have passed in II PUC / 12th Std. / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.

Admission to second year BE program through Lateral Entry

The students who have completed three years diploma course in the respective specialization are eligible to join second year BE course through lateral entry scheme. Such students are required to apply for “Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET)” conducted by the KEA and participate in the seat allotment procedure of Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
