VTU grants permission for opening of Research Centres at SMVITM, Bantakal

Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum has granted permission for starting up of two new research centres in the Department of Physics and Chemistry at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi from the academic year 2014-15 onwards. Now the Institute can offer studies leading to Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engineering), by research degrees in the respective fields.

This has added one more feather in the cap of SMVITM, which always believes in imparting quality technical education to the underprivileged and the rural poor. H. H. Shri Vishwawallabha Theertha Swamiji, President, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust and Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary have expressed their happiness in getting these Research Centres and also commended the efforts of the Principal and Faculty in achieving this milestone. They have also requested the aspirants to make use of the facilities available at the Research Centres effectively.
