The Principal of SMVITM has been conferred with prestigious National Award in recognition of services rendered in the field of higher education.

Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Principal of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal, Udupi has been conferred with the Bharat Vidya Shiromani Award and a Certificate of Education Excellence, instituted by the International Institute of Education & Management (IIEM), a New Delhi based NGO working for the citizens of India.

He was also awarded the Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold Medal by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi, another NGO involved in social services. The awards were conferred on Dr. Aithal in recognition of his outstanding achievements and the remarkable role he played in the field of higher education. Dr. Aithal received the awards from Dr. Bhishma Narayan Singh, former Governor & former union minister at an award presentation ceremony held as part of IIEM’s annual seminar organised in New Delhi on 26 May 2015.
