Students won the ‘Best Project Award’

Final year Mechanical Engineering students at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal have developed a technology of Modular Reversing System in Scooter for Physically Challenged. The project was carried out by Dhanush, Abhishek, Ashwin and Deepak Achar under the guidance of Mr. Ravinarayan R Rao, Senior Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. 

People with lower limb deformities who ride modified automatic scooters normally find it difficult to reverse these scooters into parking slots. This project has succeeded in finding and implementing a viable solution in the form of a battery-operated motor. Hence this project will become very much helpful for specially-abled people. This project work is sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST). Also, awarded with ‘Best Project of the year 2020’ by KSCST.
