The students of CSE department – Raunak Chowdhary, Ashutosh Kumar, Faheem Ahamad and Ganpat Patel of Shri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management have participated in a project exhibition and competition, I2CONECCT and have won first place in Innovation and Humanitarian Technology area held at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management organized by IEEE Mangalore Subsection on 26th June 2021. The students are guided by Ms. Harshitha G M, Assistant Professor, Dept of CSE, SMVITM, Bantakal. The students have developed a project named “Tapship”.
Tapship is a Web-Python Integrated Project developed for farmers, customers and truck drivers with an aim to eliminate the middleman in the process of selling and buying the crop. Farmers can use this platform to list their crops by registering themselves initially and getting all documents verified. On the other hand, customers will be able to see all the active crops and bid a price on their favorable crops. Once, the deal reaches the transportation stage after payment to farmer, truck drivers get a chance to view all the tapship delivery deals where they can bid a price to their favorable deals while customers will select the best bid. Following, this event, the transportation of shipment takes place. At last, a confirmation and feedback from farmers, customers and drivers with respect to shipment delivery is collected.
