Peer Learning Workshop on Introduction to AI/ML

A Peer Learning workshop on Introduction to AI/ML was held on October 25, 2024, organized by department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with ISTE student chapter and Co-curricular – hobby project club was a fruitful hands-on session on trends in AI. The session was started by Mr. Akshay Kumar, student of 5th semester CSE, SMVITM. Mr. Akshay started the session with introduction to supervised and unsupervised learning. Later he focused on neural network algorithms, Natural language processing and reinforcement learning mechanisms. Another mentor Mr. Ramachandra Udupa, 7th semester student of AI and DS shared his knowledge on applications of various AI algorithms like decision tree, k-nearest neighbor, hierarchical clustering. About 55 students from CSE and AI stream were benefited by the event. The session was conducted from 9.00 AM to 3.30 PM in F103, laboratory complex of workshop block.
