FDP on “OBE & Engineering Education Research” at SMVITM

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) has organized a six days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Outcome Based Education (OBE) & Engineering Education Research” at its campus.

SMVTIM is recently accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its quality procedures in academics and administration. In order to ensure further strengthening of the OBE process in the teaching-learning, the college has organized this FDP. Prof. Kaushik Mallibhat and Dr. Vijayalakshmi M of KLE Technological University, Hubballi were the resource persons of the FDP. In their address, explained the overview of OBE, framing of program outcomes & course outcomes, mapping of course outcomes with program outcomes, Project-Based Learning (PBL), Usage of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) tools in teaching-learning process, and Engineering Education Research. More than sixty faculty members of SMVITM have actively participated in the FDP.

Dean (Quality Assurance) Dr. Sudarshan Rao K has coordinated the FDP. The Principal Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Vice-Principal Dr. Ganesh Aithal and HODs were present in the FDP sessions.
