New Age Skill Set for Writing a Technical Paper

ISTE Student Chapter and IEEE Student Branch of SMVITM, jointly organized a two days workshop on “New Age Skill Set for Writing a Technical Papers” for the final year students on 12^th and 19^th February 2019.

The motto of this program was to improve skill set of  students  to present their final year project work in a Technical paper and improve their presentation skill.

The opening remark for the workshop was given by Dr. Vasudeva, HOD Department of Computer Science and Engineering were he briefed about two day’s workshop and also the importance of Technical writing.

This was followed by four session from  Mr. Ananda Hegde, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Sujay Raghavendra Naganna, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering,  Dr. K K Srinivasan, Sr. Professor, Department of Chemistry and Dr. Ravindra H.J, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Physics on day one.

Second day of the workshop was conducted on 19^th February. The first session was taken by Dr.Vasudeva HOD Department of Computer Science and Engineering and later Dr. Asha C. S, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted a hands on session on LATEX.

At the end of Two day workshop Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of SMVITM addressed the gathering and recognized the key speakers of both the days for their contribution toward the betterment of the student community. Later the students  shared their valuable feedback about the various sessions and finally students received the participation certificates in the hands of Dr. K. K. Srinivasan.

The workshop was  Coordinated by Mr. Deepak Rao M. Coordinator, ISTE Faculty Chapter, Ms. Ramya D Shetty, Secretary of ISTE, Faculty Chapter; The program   was compered by Ms. Chaithra Pai & Ms. Samanvitha Bhagavat, ISTE student chapter.
