BLOOD DONATION CAMP

National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross wing, (YRC) and Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, in association with Mogaveera Youth Club, Udupi, G. Shankar family trust, Udupi and Blood bank of K.M.C, Manipal organized one-day blood donation Camp at the institute premises on 8 October 2016.

Dr. Shamee Shastry, Doctor in Charge, KMC Blood Bank, Manipal inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of SMVITM; Mr. Raju Shriyan Vice President Mogaveera Youth Club Udupi District; Mr. Jagadeesh, President, Mogaveera Youth Club Haladi Unit; Mr.Ramesh Mogaveera, Mr.Raghavendra Mogaveera, Mr.Sudhakar Kanchan, respectively the President and memebers of Mogaveera Youth Club Kundapura Taluk; NSS/YRC Coordinator Mr. Nagaraj Rao, HOD’s of various departments, members of the NSS, YRC and Rotaract Club and student volunteers were present during the inaugural function.

More than 150 Volunteers, including faculty, staff and students of SMVITM and public had donated blood with a total of 155 units of blood collected at the camp.
