Guest talk on “Environmental Geotechniques”

“Prakriti” Eco club and ISTE student chapter unit of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal organized Guest talk on “Environmental Geotechniques” by Dr. Sunil B. M Assistant Professor Department of Civil Engineering NITK, Surathkal on 28 March 2016.

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM inaugurated the program. Mr. Sunil Haldankar Coordinator of ECO Club of SMVITM; HODs, members of the ECO Club; members, of the faculty & staff and many students attended the program.

The resource person elucidated the importance of environment and how to protect the soil contamination, protection of slopes, remedial measures. He ended his session with some case studies on Geo-environmental aspects.
