MoU signed with leading technical skill development firm

SMVITM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a renowned civil engineering technical skill development firm, Simply Supported Pvt. Ltd. (SSPL), Mangaluru on 11 November 2017 at the institute premises. As per the MoU, both SMVITM and SSPL have agreed to work together with the aim of providing exposure to industry practices, techniques and technology to the engineering students. Simply Supported is promoted by professionals from diverse backgrounds to cater to the ever-increasing need for application based learning. With these objectives the MoU will wish to create a support system to develop critical skills and close the gap between understanding and application of Civil Engineering. H. H. Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, the President of the SSVMET and Chairman of the Governing Council signed the MoU on behalf of SMVITM.

Mr. Anirudh Rao, Director of SSPL signed on behalf of the firm. In his address, Mr. Arun Prabha, one more Director of SSPL stressed on engineering institutions associating with the industries for nurturing the creativity of the students, leading to innovation and better understanding of the subject. Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary; Dr. K. S. Babunarayan, Professor of Civil Engineering, NITK-Surathkal; Sri Raghavendra Tantri, Management Representative; Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwra Bhat, Principal; Prof. Dr. B Radheshyam, HOD of Civil Engineering and HoDs of different disciplines were present during the occasion.
