Elevate – Feedback and Performance Evaluation Simulation Activity

The Department of Business Administration, SMVITM, organized ELEVATE – Feedback and Performance Evaluation Simulation Activity on 11th July 2026 under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator, Prof. Aurin Madtha. The activity aimed to provide students with a practical understanding of performance appraisal, workplace communication, and constructive feedback through a role-play simulation.

A total of nine teams participated in the event. Each team consisted of three employees and three employers. Every participant had the opportunity to perform in both roles, first as an employee and then as an employer, enabling us to understand both perspectives of the appraisal process. A unique twist made the activity more engaging, each employee received a secret chit containing a specific situation that had to be incorporated naturally during the appraisal discussion without revealing it directly. This challenged both employees and employers to think critically, communicate effectively, and respond professionally. Since every team received different scenarios, each performance was unique and offered valuable learning experiences.

The activity was highly interactive and realistic, helping the students understand the importance of effective communication, constructive feedback, active listening, and professionalism in performance evaluation. Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and enriched our understanding of workplace appraisal processes.
