Reflections

A very interactive session – Reflections was organized by the T&P Cell for the students of SMVITM across all streams. The topic was taken up by Mr Anupal Awasti – Training Manager of Manipal Group.

2 sessions were taken up, the first on 21March 2016, followed by the follow up session for the same group of students on 25^th April 2016.

The program was all about reflecting of the individual student – the importance of education or qualification, how each can help them in life, the understanding of what placement is all about, the responsibility of placement officer and how the students understand the perspective of placements, what they do to better their opportunities for placement, where they stand in their peer competition for a job, which are the companies who are hiring freshers, what the companies look for , what are their expectations and demands and why students get rejected in company selection processes, to reflect about their goals, where they would be 5 years from now, how parents would feel when their child gets a job and becomes independent, what they themselves would feel when they get their job offer, how they would like to do with their first pay, and how deserving the students believe themselves to be. All helped them to understand the difference between a job and career,
