One Day Workshop on “Basics of PLC Programming”

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Udupi, in association with the ISTE Student Chapter, Institution’s Innovation Council, and NITK-Siemens Center of Excellence in Digital Manufacturing, will be organizing a one-day workshop on “Basics of PLC Programming” on 20th August 2025.

The session will be conducted by Mr. Vignesh V Kini, Trainer, Factory Automation Lab, NITK-Siemens Center of Excellence in Digital Manufacturing, Surathkal, Mangaluru. The workshop aims to provide participants with foundational knowledge and practical insights into Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, a crucial skill in modern industrial automation.

The event will take place from 09:00 AM to 04:30 PM at the Factory Automation Lab, NITK-Siemens Center of Excellence in Digital Manufacturing, Surathkal, Mangaluru. This initiative reflects SMVITM’s commitment to enhancing technical competencies among students and fostering industry-academia collaboration.
