THIRD GRADUATION CEREMONY

SMVITM, Bantakal organized its third graduation ceremony at the institute premises on 6 November 2016.  Graduates who passed out during the academic year 2015 -16 received their graduation certificates from the Chief Guest, Padma Vibhushan Justice, Shri M. N. Venkatachalaiah.

The Chief Guest in his graduation address appreciated the role of Sode Mutt in the development of the great institution and the human society. He continued explaining the drastic changes brought by the 3D printers, Internet of Things (IoT), unmanned vehicles through the use of technologies like Artificial intelligence, automation, machine learning and data analytics. He also highlighted the need on multidisciplinary study to be adopted in being a great entrepreneur. One should have a strong aim set which acts as a key force in driving them towards success.

Mr. Anil Nagendra, Vice President, CA Technologies, Bengaluru was the Guest of Honor and he addressed the students on how an individual has to inculcate passion, planning, potential, positivity and patience as a life  principle in exploring the available opportunity to be a successful person.

H.H. Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, President, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi, who presided over the ceremony, presented gold medals to the branch toppers and the institutional merit-cum-means scholarships to the selected students on the occasion. In his presidential address, he wished all the graduates to have a bright future and gave an insight on how selflessness will lead them to greater heights in life and he advised all the students to inculcate good manners along with gaining knowledge.

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM administered the institutional oath to the graduates and in his address he congratulated the graduates and reminded them that education is a never ending process and they should keep educating themselves throughout life, and told that the just gaining knowledge is not sufficient but knowledge blent with experience and spirituality will surely help them to excel in life.

Dr. K. K Srinivasan, Head Department of Chemistry SMVITM, read out the list of gold medal winners from each department; Aishwarya Hegde from Department of Civil Engineering, Aishwarya Bhat form Computer Science and Engineering, Sridevi from department of Electronics and Communication engineering  and Amrith Nayak from Department of Mecanical engineering were the branch toppers. Prof. Ravindra H. J., Head Department of Physics, announced the institutional merit-cum-means scholarship awardees.

Eight faculty members of the College were felicitated as Best Teacher Guardian/ Faculty Advisor for their consistent monitoring of the students, being their mentors.

Sri. Shrinivasa Tantry, Vice president, SSVMET; Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET; Sri H. V. Gowthama, Member, SSVMET;. Heads of the Departments, Adjunct Faculty members and members of SSVMET were present.

Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino, Head, Department of Mathematics introduced the Chief Guest. Sri Rathnakumar, secretary, SSVMET welcomed the gathering; Mrs. Renita Sharon Monis Overall Coordinator – Graduation Day 2016 introduced the Guest of honor; Ms. Deepika Ballal and team rendered the invocation and Mr. Aditya Kudva, Alumni Affairs Coordinator, proposed a vote of thanks. Mr. Venugopal Rao A. S. and Ms. Ramyashree, Assistant Professors at Department of CSE were the masters of the ceremony for the event.
