TEACHERS’ DAY AND ENGINEER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management celebrated Teacher’s day and Engineer’s Day on 10 September 2016.

Eminent engineer and renowned teacher Thekkekere Narayana, Former Principal – Maritime Training Institute, Mumbai was the Chief Guest, of the function. He addressed the gathering and shared his experience as an engineer and the challenges faced in his career lifetime.

Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary Shri Sode Vadhiraja Mutt Education Trust was the president of the function. Principal of the college Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwar Bhat spoke about the relevance of the celebration of Teacher’s day in the memory of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and the Engineer’s day in the Memory of Sir M. Visvesvaraya.

Best Teacher award was given to three teachers of the college, Mr. Adithya Kudva S. of Mechanical Engineering Department, Mrs. Subbulakshmi N. Karanth of Chemistry Department and Mrs. Deepika B. V. of Civil Department of the college

Mr. Manoj T. and Mrs. Ramya D. Shetty were felicitated for their role as Teacher Guardian in monitoring and guiding the students in academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

Dr. Vasudeva, HOD of Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sahana Udupa performed invocation; The Chief Guest was introduced by Mr. Gaurav; Ms. Akila, President, student council rendered the vote of Thanks and the programme was compeered by Mr. Vikas Udupa.
