SMVITM Team Secures 2nd Prize at National Level Hackathon “DevHost 2025” (6–8 November 2025)

Students of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, participated in DevHost 2025, a National Level 36-hour Hackathon organized by the Sahyadri Open Source Community (SOSC) at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Adyar, Mangaluru, held from 6th to 8th November 2025. The event was sponsored by EG India (EG Software – “Software Made for You”), which also provided industry-relevant problem statements. DevHost, the flagship tech convergence of SOSC, featured technical and non-technical events along with dev talks and workshops conducted by industry experts, encouraging innovation and collaboration. Out of numerous teams across the country, 30 teams were shortlisted for the final 36-hour round, and SMVITM’s team “Power-Rangers” successfully reached the finals and secured the Second Prize, winning a cash award of ₹20,000. The participation provided an excellent platform for students to enhance their technical skills, creativity, and teamwork.
