SMVITM Students Shine at DSU DevHack 2.0 with “Best Build Award”

SMVITM students Abhinandan (EC 1st Year, Lead), Aditya Nayak (CS 1st Year), and Shashank S (EC 3rd Year), under the team name TheAPIcalypse, participated in DSU DevHack 2.0 at Dayananda Sagar University, Ramanagara, on 12–13 September 2025.

Their project Weighnix – A Smart LPG Monitoring System won the prestigious “Best Build Award” by VULTR, earning $1,500 in cloud credits. The project was mentored by Mr. Chandrashekar Kuthyar.

Out of 3,200+ registrations and 1,000 idea submissions, only 60 teams were finalists — with 3 teams from SMVITM making the cut.
