Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), an autonomous institution affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, has been awarded a grant of ₹1.86 crores under the New Age Innovation Network (NAIN) 2.0 initiative by the Department of Electronics, IT, BT and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka.
This prestigious funding is sanctioned for a period of three years to support and strengthen incubation activities within the institution. The initiative aims to foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and research among students and faculty, enabling them to transform ideas into impactful solutions and startups.
The NAIN 2.0 program focuses on creating a robust ecosystem for innovation by providing financial support, mentorship, and infrastructure to nurture young innovators. With this grant, SMVITM will further enhance its capabilities in promoting research-driven innovation and startup incubation.
The institution continues to uphold its vision of “Research Meets Innovation,” encouraging students to actively engage in developing real-world solutions and entrepreneurial ventures.
