Seventh Annual Day

The seventh annual day of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi was celebrated on 17 February 2017. H. Shri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji of Shri Palimaru Mutt, Udupi – who delivered a speech on the occasion, told that from the world seen through our eyes, we have to analyze the supreme capacity of unseen God. It is clear that the God’s creation is perfect and fine-tuned. He expressed his compliments to the Swamiji of Sode Mutt for starting engineering college in the age of studying in such a college.

Speaking on the occasion, the guest of honour, Sri Manjunath Nayaker, Vice-President – Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise Limited and Principal Consultant VIC Ltd., said that it is very important for a person to identify his or her strength so that he/she can excel by using it in the life.

H.H. Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiij, President, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi, who presided over the function, said that hard work is only key to success in life. The golden life spent during the students days by studying continuously leads the student to golden future.

Various scholarships and academic proficiency prizes instituted by various philanthropists, individuals and organizations were awarded to the recipients on the occasion.  Mr. Bhuvanmithra S, Department of Civil Engineering and Ms. Anusha Pai, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering were awarded with best outgoing student awards.

Mr. H. V. Gowthama, Trust member of SSVMET; Ms. Akhila V Rao and Ms. Ujwala J Shetty, Student Council members were present on the dais.

Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of the institute presented the annual report of the academic year 2016 -17 on the occasion. Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino, HOD of Mathematics, read out the list of scholarship awardees. Dr. B Radheshyam announced the names of Best outgoing students. Mr. Ratnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET welcomed the gathering and Mr. Siju V Soman, Department of Computer Science & Engineering proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Venugopala Rao, Assistant Professor, introduced the Palimaru seer and Ms. Zuha Begum of VI Semester Electronics & Communication Engineering introduced the guest of honour. Ms. Sahana Udupa, a first year student rendered an invocation. Ms. Vani Bhat and Ms. Tanusha Shetty compered the program. The formal function was followed by various variety entertainment programmes by the students.
