Project exhibition and farewell program – 2019

An exhibition of engineering projects designed and developed by the sixth out-going batch of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute Technology &Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi was held on 20 May 2019. The farewell program for the students was organised at the institute on 21 May 2019.

Dr. Harisha G Joshi, Professor, Manipal Institute of Management, Manipal, was the Chief Guest of the function, presented the best projects awards. Mr. Rathnakumar, Secretary of the Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi, presided over the farewell function.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest told that the students of SMVITM are blessed to be studied in the institution. Student should excel in their life such that SMVITM should become brand because of their behaviour, attitude and performance. He enjoys interacting with youth. He also praised present youth as they are brilliant and smarter than ever.

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal while addressing the students, said that they should take up whatever job came their way and regularly update their skill sets as engineers in order to survive in a highly competitive job market. He thanked all the students for the cooperation they had extended to the administration during their stay at the institute and wished them well in their future careers.

In his presidential remarks, Mr. Rathnakumar said that the achievements of the students are the best advertisements for the institute, students’ good words and works reflect the performance of the institute. He also said that students must come out of inferiority and excel in life.

A students from each engineering department recalled their days at SMVITM since getting admitted to the institute, gratefully acknowledged the care and concern the institute had always showed in getting their problems solved right from the beginning.

Ms. Shivani of 6^th sem Computer science Engineering and Ms. Meghana of 6^th sem Electronics and communication engineering hosted the program.
