Parent–Teacher Meeting Strengthens Parent–Institution Collaboration

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, organized a Parent–Teacher Meeting for the parents of 2nd and 3rd year students on 28 February 2026. The program began with a welcome, invocation, and floral reception.

Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, Principal, addressed the gathering and spoke about responsible mobile usage, evolving parenting approaches, and the importance of regular interaction with mentors. He also highlighted the institute’s academic achievements, placement training initiatives, scholarships, counselling services, and student activity centers, and encouraged parents to track attendance and academic updates through the college website.

The Chief Guest, Mr. P. G. Konnur, Director–Training, Nature Bound Sahyadri OBT Centre, delivered an engaging talk on emotionally intelligent parenting, emphasizing character building, emotional stability, leadership, and resilience in students.

The event was attended by CEO Dr. Radhakrishna Aithal, Deans, and Heads of Departments. The program concluded with an interactive discussion and vote of thanks, with active participation from parents and faculty members, strengthening the institute’s commitment to holistic student development through strong parent–institution collaboration.
