National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross Wing (YRC) and Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal jointly organized the celebration of 60th Kannada Rajyothsava on 08 November 2016 at the institute premises.
The Chief Guest of the program Dr. Uday Kumar Saralathaya, Professor, Sanskrit College Udupi, in his address emphasized that it is each and every person’s responsibility to save and develop our state and language, since other languages are spread everywhere. Also he opined that conducting or celebrating such programs are important to spread the importance of kannada language.
Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET, Udupi; Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM; Sri Nagaraja Rao, Coordinator, NSS Unit SMVITM; Ms. Anusha Pai, Student Secretary, NSS Unit, SMVITM; were present during the occasion.
On this occasion, the P.U.C and C.E.T books collected by the students of SMVITM were handed over to the benefit of sister institution, S.V.H.P.U. College Innanje. Several competitions like Quiz, Essay, Crossword and Dumb Charades were organized for the students in connection with Kannada Rajyothsava and prizes were distributed.
Earlier, Ms. Aishwarya Acharya invoked the blessings of almighty, Ms. Megha Samaga welcomed the gathering. Ms. Shriraksha Acharya introduced the guest,Ms. Kshama proposed the vote of thanks. The program was compeered by Ms. Madhura.
