INVITED TALK ON “COMMERCIAL PROSPECTS OF VALUE ADDED MEDICINAL PLANTS”

The Department of Chemistry along with the ISTE Faculty Chapter of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal had conducted an Invited talk on “Commercial Prospects of Value Added Medicinal Plants” on 10 November 2020, at the institute premises. Dr. K. K. Srinivasan, Retd. Professor, Department of Chemistry, SMVITM was the resource person for the talk.

In his talk, he explained about various products produced by the common medicinal plants which are available in our surroundings and their prospective global market growth and value in the near future. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, consumption of adequate amount of water and fiber rich food to keep the body fit and fine. 

The talk was conducted for the benefit of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institute. The Vice Principal, Deans, HoDs, teaching and nonteaching staff members were present during the talk. The program was compered by Dr.Subbulaxmi N. Karanth and Ms. Raviprabha K of Chemistry Department with the assistance of ISTE Faculty Chapter member Ms. Renita Sharon Monis.
