Interaction with Vice Chancellor, VTU, Belagavi

A video conference was organized by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi conducted at E-Shikshana Room at SMVITM, Bantakal on March 12, 2019. 42 faculties attended this session. Honorable Vice Chancellor of VTU, Belagavi Dr. Karisiddappa and Registrar (Evaluation) Dr. Satish Annigeri interacted with faculty members and Principals of various engineering colleges affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. Dr. Karisiddappa in his address, stressed the importance of ICT based learning and the need of quality research amongst faculty and students. He also stressed faculty members to not only deliver lectures to students, but also to train the young teachers, Dr. Karisiddappa requested all faculty members to include add-on courses for understanding new technologies in the field of AI, IoT, machine learning, etc., In addition to this, he requested Principals of all engineering colleges to encourage faculty members to take up workshops, training programs and use e-Shikshana effectively for teaching-learning process. The event was coordinated by Mr. Raghavendra Rao P, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Electronics and Communication along with the support from maintenance and server department of the Institution.
