Incubation Awareness Programme Held Under RAMP Scheme | 02 December 2025

An Incubation Awareness Programme was conducted on 02 December 2025 in association with the District Industries Centre (DIC) Udupi, Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation (KCTU), and Technical Consultancy Services Organisation of Karnataka (TECSOK) under the Government of India’s RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) scheme.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Sachin Bhat, Dean (Research), and Dr. Sudarshan Rao, Dean (Academics), who highlighted the importance of design thinking in modern innovation ecosystems.

The event was presided over by Mr. Seetharam Shetty, Deputy Director, DIC Udupi, who spoke about various government schemes for budding entrepreneurs and stressed the need for early-stage guidance to transform student ideas into viable ventures.
Sri Sunder Sherigar, Joint Director In-charge, MSME Mangaluru, provided insights into financial assistance, MSME registration benefits, and support mechanisms for first-generation entrepreneurs. The programme was coordinated by Sri Arvind D. Baleri, Associate Consultant, TECSOK.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and representatives from local industries.

The resource persons emphasized the growing relevance of innovation-driven entrepreneurship in academic institutions and encouraged engineering students to engage actively with incubation ecosystems. Sessions on idea validation, prototype development, and incubation pathways were facilitated by experts from TECSOK and KCTU.
