
Graduation Ceremony for the sixth outgoing batch was held at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi, on Saturday, 26 October 2019.
Mr B B Shetty, Head Regional – HR, TATA Consultancy Services was the chief guest and delivered graduation address. His address provided insights to the students from the perspective of a recruiter. He asked students to be proficient in latest technologies and stay updated to compete and succeed in a global environment. He also enlightened the graduates regarding the difficulties faced by the rural background students working in cities like Bengaluru after their graduation. He asked them to plan their career goals right now and identify their career path. He also asked graduates working in IT field to prioritize their personal life and to take care of their parents.
Shri Vishwavallabha Teertha Swamiji of Sode Vadiraja Mata handed over the gold medals for the branch toppers. Anvitha of Civil Engineering department, Daneena Deeksha D’souza of Computer Science and Engineering, Sushmitha N G of Electronics and Communications Engineering and Sudarshan M of Mechanical Engineering won gold medals for their splendid acade
mic performance.
Principal Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat welcomed the gathering. Shri. Ratnakumar, secretary, SSVMET, recalled the visit of former President Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam to the institute and asked the students to follow his footprints.
In his presidential address,Shri Vishwavallabha Teertha Swamiji asked the students to not let go anything off without a sincere try, be good and be useful to the society. He gave many instances in his discourse to motivate the student community gathered.
HoDs of engineering branches presented the graduates list. Prof. Ravindra H J, HoD of Physics announced the names of branch toppers. Dr. Reenakumari, Head, Dept. of Chemistry introduced the guest. Vice Principal Dr. Ganesh Aithal, administered the Oath for the sixth outgoing batch of graduates.
Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino, HOD of Mathematics delivered vote of thanks and Mr. Ananth Mallya and Ms. Sneha D’souza compeered the program.
