Expert Talk on “Innovate to Initiate: Idea Generation & Problem Identification” Held

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, in association with the ISTE Student Chapter and Cocurricular Cell, organized an invited talk titled “Innovate to Initiate: A Session on Idea Generation & Problem Identification” on 20 February 2026 at the institute campus.

The session was delivered by Aldrin Claytus Vaz, who guided students on identifying real-world problems and converting them into meaningful project ideas in domains such as IoT, Embedded Systems, and Signal Processing. He emphasized moving away from marks-driven or copied projects toward problem-oriented innovation with real-world impact and highlighted the importance of aligning projects with Sustainable Development Goals and patent-worthy innovations.

The program was presided over by Arun Upadhyaya and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who gained valuable insights on developing clear problem statements and engineering solutions with societal relevance.
