Blood Donation Camp by NSS-YRC Unit Yields Over 149 Units, Promotes Lifesaving Awareness

The NSS-YRC Unit of the Sode Group of Institutions, in collaboration with the KMC Blood Centre, successfully organized a blood donation camp on 25 November 2025. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sachin S. Bhat, Dean (R&C), SMVITM, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Deep Madkaiker, Assistant Professor, Department of IHBT, KMC, Kasturba Hospital Blood Centre, Manipal, and the Guest of Honour Mr. Raghavendra Rao, HDFC Operations Manager, Udupi.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, and students, with over 149 individuals voluntarily donating blood. Their selfless contributions reflected a strong commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian values.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sachin S. Bhat emphasized the importance of blood donation in saving lives and appreciated the NSS-YRC Unit for successfully organizing the camp. He encouraged students to actively participate in such noble initiatives and contribute positively to society. Dr. Deep Madkaiker highlighted the life-saving value of blood donation and expressed gratitude to the institution’s management for their support in facilitating the camp. Mr. Raghavendra Rao motivated students by reminding them that even a small act of kindness can make a life-saving difference for someone in need.
