Alumnus Talk on “The Power of Discipline, Dreams and Direction towards on Career” on 07 August 2025

Department of Mechanical Engineering is organized an alumnus talk on “The Power of Discipline, Dreams and Direction towards Career“ in association with Alumni Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council on 07 August 2025 at 11:30 AM. Our proud alumnus of 2012-2016 batch Mr. Deviprasad Shetty, QA/QC Inspector, Sayed Hamid Behbehani & Sons Co., Kuwait, was the resource person for the session.

Mr. Deviprasad Shetty, in his address has thrown light on the following aspects.

 Recalled his childhood days and the days spent at SMVITM campus.
 Appreciated his teachers at SMVITM for their support and encouragement during his
journey at SMVITM.
 Insisted the students to cultivate good attitude to become successful in their professional
journey.
 Informed the students regarding various certifications needs to be acquired to fetch job
opportunities in the quality control field.
 Suggested to overcome lack of communication skills and language barriers. Suggested to focus more on basics to have strong fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering.
 Informed regarding the various opportunities for mechanical engineers in the middle-east
countries.
Departmental Alumni Coordinator Mr. Aditya Kudva S and Departmental IIC Coordinator Dr. Bharath K Bhat were coordinated the program. Total 39 students and few faculty members have attended the program. HOD of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Raja Yateesh Yadav has handed over the honorarium and appreciation letter to the speaker and thanked all the attendees. The program has concluded by 12:30 PM.
