Academic Achievement: ECE Faculty Secure Q2 Journal Publication

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SMVITM, proudly announces the publication of a research paper by its faculty in the reputed Q2 journal Engineering Research Express.

The paper titled “Spoken Language Identification System for Detecting Coastal Karnataka Languages Using Transfer Learning and Multi-View Learning” presents an advanced approach to language identification using modern machine learning techniques.

The research was authored by Mr. Sachin Prabhu, Assistant Professor (SG), with Dr. Shilpa Kamath S, Associate Professor, as co-author.

This work is the result of collaborative efforts with esteemed institutions including Impact College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Bengaluru; MIT, MAHE, Manipal; and IIT Dharwad.

This achievement highlights the department’s continuous efforts in advancing research and contributing to emerging technologies in speech processing and artificial intelligence.
