“Design of structures using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software-CYPE”

The Student Chapter of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and Civil Engineering
Department of SMVITM jointly organized a one-day workshop titled “Design of structures
using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software-CYPE” at the institute premises on 30
January 2016. Mr. Amarnath S. N., Structural Consultant & Proprietor, M/s FE Designs,
Bengaluru was the chief resource person for this workshop. During the forenoon session, Mr.
Amarnath presented briefly the various modular contents of the BIM Software CYPE and its
varied applications in Civil Engineering. Total 73 pre final year students have attended the
program.
