As part of the ongoing AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Analytics and Modelling for Business Research”, organized by the Department of Business Administration, Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, two engaging sessions were conducted on 9 October 2025, combining technical learning with wellness-focused activities.
Session 7: AI in Action – Practical Insights through Python, Pandas, and NumPy

The first session of the day, conducted by Dr. Sachin Bhat, focused on the “Evolution of Artificial Intelligence and Hands-on Python using Pandas and NumPy.” The session traced the journey of Artificial Intelligence (AI) from its early conceptual foundations to its modern applications in business analytics, automation, and decision-making.
Dr. Bhat led an interactive, hands-on workshop that introduced participants to Python programming for data analytics, emphasizing practical use of Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation, analysis, and numerical computation. Participants were guided through live coding demonstrations, gaining confidence in applying these tools for research and business modelling.
The session effectively linked theoretical insights with practical implementation, helping participants understand how AI-driven tools can be leveraged for data-driven research and strategic decision-making.
Session 9: Rhythm and Relaxation – Practical Session by Miss Shubhashree

The concluding session of Day 4 offered a refreshing change of pace with “Rhythm and Relaxation,” a wellness-oriented session conducted by Miss Shubhashree and her team. The session emphasized the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being alongside professional and academic pursuits.
Participants actively engaged in breathing exercises, posture correction, and light aerobics, designed to enhance stress relief, focus, and overall vitality. The interactive and energizing nature of the session made it a memorable experience, reminding participants of the need for a healthy work-life balance.
