Conference Paper Acceptance

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, is proud to announce that a research paper titled “AI-driven Dried Coconut Classification Using Computer Vision” authored by Dr. Rajesh Nayak, Associate Professor, along with proud Alumni of the department – Mr. Rahul Mendon, Mr. Anurag Rao, Mr. Nayak Akshay Ravindra, and Mr. Harshraj, has been accepted for presentation at the IEEE Second International Conference on Computing, Semiconductor, Mechatronics, Intelligent Systems and Communications (COSMIC – 2025).

The conference will be hosted by the Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru, from November 21–22, 2025. The acceptance came after a rigorous double-blinded peer review process, reflecting the quality and originality of the work.

The research focuses on leveraging computer vision and deep learning techniques for accurate classification of the dried coconut. This achievement highlights the department’s ongoing commitment to fostering impactful research and student involvement in emerging technologies.
