Invited Talk on “Career Opportunities for Engineering Graduates” | 10 November 2025

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the ISTE Student Chapter and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organised an invited talk on “Career Opportunities for Engineering Graduates” on 10 November 2025. The session was delivered by Dr. Manjunatha S, Assistant Professor (Selection Grade), Department of Mechanical Engineering, SMVITM, Bantakal, at C104, Mechanical Engineering Block. The speaker briefed students on the wide range of career opportunities available for engineering graduates, with a detailed focus on both mechanical and civil engineering streams. Students actively interacted with the resource person, and queries related to competitive exams, resumes, internships, core vs. IT roles, and future technology trends were addressed. The session encouraged students to build strong fundamentals and enhance their readiness through projects, internships, and participation in technical competitions.
