+ About the Alumni cell

The SMVITM Alumni Cell functions as the official liaison between the SMVITM Alumni Association (SMVITMAA) and the institution, actively engaging alumni in the academic and professional journey of the college. Working in alignment with SMVITMAA, which is a legally registered body under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Serial No. 17), the Alumni Cell plays a key role in implementing the association’s objectives—ranging from fostering strong alumni networks to promoting mentorship, career guidance, and philanthropic initiatives.

With its Memorandum of Association (MOA) defining its vision and structured governance, SMVITMAA operates from its registered office at SMVITM, Bantakal, Karnataka, and is managed by an Executive Committee with clearly defined duties. Membership is open in Life, Associate, and Honorary categories. The association’s operational framework was further strengthened when its by-laws were amended and formally approved in October 2018.

Through collaborative efforts, the SMVITM Alumni Cell and SMVITMAA strive to nurture a thriving alumni community that contributes to the growth, reputation, and legacy of SMVITM.
