The six-day National Service Scheme (NSS) Special Camp organized by SMVITM, Bantakal, in association with Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mangaluru, concluded successfully on January 24, 2026, at Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru. The camp was inaugurated on January 19, 2026, by the Poojya Swamiji of Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mangaluru.
Over 300 NSS volunteers from SMVITM actively participated in the camp. Throughout the six days, students engaged in various social service and awareness activities, gaining valuable insights into discipline, teamwork, leadership, and social responsibility.
The valedictory function was presided over by Swami Jithakananda Swamiji, President of Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mangaluru. In his address, he emphasized the significance of selfless service, moral values, and the vital role of youth in nation-building.
All NSS office bearers, faculty coordinators, and volunteers were present at the valedictory ceremony. The camp concluded on a meaningful note, strengthening the studentsβ commitment to service and social welfare.
