The NSS unit of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) inaugurated a six-day National Service Scheme (NSS) Special Camp on 19 January 2026 at Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru. The camp, which will continue until 24 January 2026, is being organized with the active participation of around 300 NSS volunteers. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Swami Jitakamanandaji, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru, who formally inaugurated the camp and addressed the volunteers. In his inaugural address, Swamiji emphasized the importance of discipline, service to society, and character building among students. Mr. Sachin Prabhu, NSS Officer of SMVITM, along with the office bearers of the NSS Committee, was present during the programme. The camp aims to inculcate social responsibility, leadership qualities, and values of community service among student volunteers through various activities planned during the six days.
