Inauguration of Alar Center of Excellence at SMVITM

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management witnessed the launch of its first Center of Excellence, established by Alar Innovations Pvt. Ltd., marking a significant step towards strengthening innovation and industry-academia collaboration.

The Alar Center of Excellence was inaugurated at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management on 22 November 2025. The CoE was formally launched by Shri Rathnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET, in the presence of Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, CEO, Sode Group of Institutions, Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, In-charge Principal, Dr. Niranjan U. C., Director, Manipal Dot Net, Dr. Shrihari Upadhayaya, Former CEO, MUTBI, Manipal, Ms. Tilottama Srinivas, Founder, Engyana Consultancy, Bengaluru, and Dr. Sachin S. Bhat, Founder and Managing Director of Alar Innovations.

The Center of Excellence aims to strengthen the institute’s innovation ecosystem by enabling hands-on research, prototype development, and enhanced industry-academia collaboration. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal and Dr. Sachin S. Bhat conveyed their best wishes and highlighted that the CoE will serve as a dedicated hub for students and researchers to work on real-world technological challenges with strong mentorship. The initiative aligns with the institute’s vision of empowering young engineers through innovation.
