Kannada Rajyothsava Celebrations at SMVITM – 31 October 2025

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, celebrated Kannada Rajyothsava on 31 October 2025 with great zeal and cultural pride. The event reflected the institution’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich linguistic and cultural heritage of Karnataka.

As part of the celebration, a series of competitions and cultural activities were organized to encourage students to express their love for the Kannada language. Events such as “Maathina Minchu” (Pick and Speak) and “Kavanaanjali” (Poetry Writing) witnessed enthusiastic participation, where students showcased their eloquence, creativity, and poetic flair. The program also featured soulful Kannada songs, celebrating the state’s traditions and artistic legacy.

The event was graced by Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, Dean (Academics), and Dr. Sudarshan Rao K, Dean (Quality Assurance), along with faculty members, staff, and students of SMVITM. The celebration concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of the competitions, recognizing their outstanding performances.

The occasion served as a tribute to Karnataka’s glorious history, fostering a deep sense of pride, unity, and cultural identity among the SMVITM community.
