Session: Hands-on Learning with Python – Practical Insights into Data Analytics

Speaker: Mr. Saurabh Agarwal, Consultant, Predictive Analytics, Bangalore

Mr. Saurabh Agarwal, a seasoned professional with 26 years of experience, delivered an engaging and hands-on session on “Data Analytics using Python.” His approach focused on bridging the gap between theory and practice by walking participants through multiple live coding exercises and real-world analytical scenarios.

The session began with the fundamentals of Python for data analytics, covering environment setup, data import, data wrangling, exploratory analysis, and visualization. Mr. Agarwal then guided participants step by step through applying various statistical tests and analytical techniques, ensuring that each participant could follow along, execute the code, and understand the underlying logic.

He also emphasized the rationale behind key analytical decisions—explaining when to use specific libraries, how to select the right statistical tests, and the importance of best practices in analytical workflows. The session further highlighted interpreting outputs, diagnosing issues, and connecting analytical findings to business decisions, thereby helping participants gain both technical and interpretive skills.
