TECH-LIKITH – Technical Article Writing Competition Held on 16 September 2025

The Co-Curricular Committee and Hobby Project Club, in association with the ISTE Student Chapter of SMVITM, organized TECH-LIKITH, a technical article writing competition designed to promote technical writing skills and encourage innovative thinking among students. A total of 28 students from various branches registered for the event, out of which 16 participants submitted well-articulated articles on diverse and trending topics such as The Rise of Generative AI: Opportunities and Ethical Challenges, Quantum Computing: Current State and Future Potential, Cloud Computing in Material Management, Industry 4.0 and Future Manufacturing, 6G Technology: The Next Leap in Connectivity, and E-Waste Management and Recycling Technologies.

The articles were evaluated on the basis of originality, clarity, structure, and overall impact by Dr. Udaya Prasanna, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. Chethan R., Assistant Professor (Senior Grade), Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The winners were honored with cash prizes during the Engineers’ Day celebration held on 16 September 2025.

The results of the competition were as follows: First Place – Asmitha Marciya (4MW23CS020) for her article on 6G Technology: The Next Leap in Connectivity; Second Place – Sunena (4MW24CS164) for the same topic; and Third Place – Anagha Bhat K (4MW23AI004) for her article on E-Waste Management and Recycling Technologies.
