Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, organized an Orientation Program for the newly admitted B.E. students on Sunday, 05 October 2025, at the institute premises. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by H. H. Shri Vishwavallaba Teertha Swamiji of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt, in the presence of the Chief Guest, Sri Prabhav N. Rao, Managing Director of Leapfrog Services, Bengaluru. Sri Prabhav N. Rao shared insights into his entrepreneurial journey, motivating the students to dream big and pursue their goals with determination to become successful individuals and future entrepreneurs. In his presidential address, H. H. Shri Vishwavallaba Teertha Swamiji inspired the students to focus on their interests, excel in their chosen fields, and bring pride to their parents, institution, and nation.
Shri Rathnakumar, Secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, expressed gratitude to the parents and students for their trust in the institution and assured that the management is committed to providing quality education and holistic development. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, CEO of Sode Group of Institutions, outlined the institute’s roadmap and emphasized its multi-dimensional growth, assuring continued support for students’ academic and personal development. Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, Dean (Academics), elaborated on the academic facilities and curriculum designed to help students achieve excellence. The event was graced by Shri P. Srinivas Tantry, Vice-President of SSVMET, and Sri Harish Belman, Hon’ble GC Member. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of SMVITM, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the institution’s major achievements.
The top three CET rank holders who joined the institute were felicitated, and parents shared their expectations on this occasion. Dr. Subbulakshmi N. Karanth, Head of the Department of Chemistry, introduced the chief guest, while Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino, Head of the Department of Mathematics, proposed the vote of thanks. The program commenced with an invocation by Ms. Chitkala and was compered by Ms. Ashritha Naveen and Mr. Karthik V., faculty members of the institution.
