Conference Paper Accepted at Prestigious International Conference ICDDS 2025

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, is proud to announce that a research paper titled “State-level Power Consumption Forecasting using Machine Learning” authored by Dr. Rajesh Nayak, Associate Professor, along with students Ms. Rithika, Ms. Sinchana, Ms. Sneha, and Ms. Sameeksha, has been accepted for presentation at the 4th International Conference on Data, Decision and Systems (ICDDS 2025).

The conference will be hosted by the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad, India, from December 4–6, 2025. The acceptance came after a rigorous double-blinded peer review process, reflecting the quality and originality of the work.

The research focuses on leveraging machine learning techniques for accurate state-level power consumption forecasting, contributing to data-driven energy management and sustainable planning. This achievement highlights the department’s ongoing commitment to fostering impactful research and student involvement in emerging technologies.
