Workshop on “Interacting with Multimodal Models and Agents in Azure AI” – 28 August 2025

The Training and Placement Cell of SMVITM, in association with UniCourt Mangalore, organized a workshop on “Interacting with Multimodal Models and Agents in Azure AI” on 28th August 2025 at the CAED Lab, Admin Block. The session was delivered by Mr. Augustine Correa (Microsoft MVP, AI Platform & Developer Technologies), a noted GitHub Community Leader and founder of #mumtechup. A total of 69 shortlisted students participated, engaging in hands-on activities such as building simple AI agents and exploring Azure AI’s multimodal capabilities in vision, language, and intelligent agents. The workshop provided students with practical exposure to cutting-edge AI tools, strengthened their technical confidence, and motivated them to pursue AI-driven projects for real-world applications.
