The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at SMVITM, in association with ISTE and IEEE Student Chapters, organized an invited talk on 29th September 2025 featuring guest speakers Mr. Guruprasad Shantharaja and Mr. Bharatesh Chougala from the Commonwealth Bank. Mr. Shantharaja shared insights on the role of AI in global banking operations, while Mr. Chougala discussed the use of AI in combating financial crimes and the importance of ethical responsibility. The session, graced by Dr. Mamatha I (HoD, AI & ML), Dr. Soumya J. Bhat (HoD, CSE), and Dr. Rashmi Samanth (AiKya Coordinator), emphasized the blend of technical expertise, communication, and ethical awareness needed for building sustainable careers in technology.
