FIRST YEAR ORIENTATION PROGRAM – 2019

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal organized the First Year orientation program for the newly admitted B.E students at the institute premises on Sunday, 28 July 2019.

The major objective of the program was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the B. E. course, to make them aware of the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance of the students hence contributing to the overall growth of a student.

The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Shri Sunder Madakshira, Head Marketing, Adobe India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru.

Shri Sunder Madakshira addressed the gathering and expressed his happiness on parents deciding to send their ward to this institution. He asked students to build right attitude towards engineering and to cultivate the habit of being a good team player. He informed students to actively participate in all the events organized by the college for their benefit of the students. He concluded his talk with an appeal to parents to constantly monitor their child and guide them in all phases of their student life.

Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, highlighted the major accomplishments the institution in both academics and extra-curricular fields. He informed that the college focuses on experimental learning and provide good mentorship for students to shape their career. He advised the students to focus on their basics and college will help them to collectively work for their better prospects.

Chief Guest honored Top three CET toppers Aditya M. Samaga, Anjali Shet and Vaishnavi T. who joined SMVITM this academic year.

Shri. Rathnakumar, Secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, expressed his gratitude to the parents and students for having faith and confidence in the institution, and assured that the college and the management is bound to give the best facilities.

Shri. P. Srinivas Tantry, Vice president of SSVMET, Udupi presided over the function. Shri Harish Belman was also present in the dais.

Dr. Balachandra Achar, Head Dept. Electronics and Communication Engineering, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Reena Kumari P.D. Head Dept. of Chemistry introduced Sri Sunder Madakshira to the gathering. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Usha Parvathy, Dept. of Physics. The program started with invocation by Mr. Ananth Mohan Malya and the Programme was compeered by faculty members of the institution Mr. Karthik V. and Ms. Ramyashree.
